White Collar Boxing Strike A Blow 3 Programme in aid of “The Galway Hospice” will commence in the Galway Black Dragon Boxing and Kickboxing Gym on the Tuam Road, Galway on Tuesday 13th September, 2016 at 6pm and every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm for 8 weeks.
The Galway Black Dragon Boxing and Kickboxing Gym is a state of the art training facility with no less than three boxing rings, 20 punch bags and wall pads, speed balls, skipping ropes, monkey bars, battle ropes, focus pads, safetey equipment etc and comprises 4500 square feet of interlocking matting.
It has two Ladies toilets and two gents toilets and separate changing areas for everyones comfort.
The club was established in Galway in March 1996 and coach Pete Foley introduced the sport of Kickboxing to the city and indeed the West of Ireland over 20 years ago.
Pete was also present at the inception of White Collar Boxing to the city also and to date has trained people from zero to hero in the art of boxing for other charities such as The Irish Heart Foundation, Blood Bike West, The Rape Crisis Centre, MS etc as well as the Athenry football team and the Galway Senior County Football Team and to date has helped raise over €300,000 for charities in Galway.
Pete and his team are certified Boxing coaches, certified Kickboxing Black Belts, Certified in First Aid and Childrens Code Of Ethics, fully insured and Garda Vetted.
The programme will culminate in a White Collar Boxing Fight Night in the Menlo Park Hotel on Saturday 5th November, 2016.
