Junior Beginners from age 7 to 14 are welcome on: Wednesdays @ 7pm & Saturdays @ 12noon & 1pm - just drop in.
Little Dragons Class for Four to Six year old kids every Fri @ 5pm - just drop in!
January 10: The morning class's for ladies only will re-commence today @ 10.15am and will be every Tuesday & Thursday morning @ 10.15am until further notice.
January 18: Pay as you go Morning Kickboxing Class incorporating stretching, conditioning, bagwork, padword, skipping, sparring, restraints (locks & holds etc), basic groundwork and so on starting at 11.30am & every Wednesday for shift workers, doctors, nurses, gardai, barstaff, doorstaff, boxers, thaiboxers, mma heads, any martial arts etc. Call Pete on 087 8119227 for more details.
January 21: From today onwards the 12 noon & 1pm Junior class's on Saturday will combine and be amalgamated into one class and will take place at 1pm only.
January 22: IKF Promoters meeting in the Menlo Park Hotel, Galway @ 12 noon. Finger food will be laid on. (Please arive by 11.45am).
January 22: Junior European Cup Championships in Beauvais, France - Jack Wisely from Tommy Delaneys camp to compete.
Jan 29: White Collar Boxing show in Kilkenny featuring several Galway Kickboxers on the card - do you fancy a go? Promomoter: Mr. Diarmuid O Sullivan.
Feb 4th: Annual Medicals with IKF Dr. Maura Grummell for ALL Black Dragon Fighters in the the Galway Black Dragon Kickboxing Gym from 11am. Appointment Only - so get your times from the office!
Feb 12: IKF Novice Full Contact Kickboxing show in Waterford for fighters aged 14 years upwards with up to 3 fights experience will take place in Billy O Sullivans Gym. IKF Promoter: Mr. Billy O Sullivan 085 8589902.
Feb 19: IKF Show in Menlo Park Hotel, Galway featuring Eric Daly making a mandatory 1st defence of his European Title to current IKF English national champion Garthy Shove. Garthy made a successful defence of his national crown recently earning him the right for a crack at Dalys Title. Also on the card & for the first time in Galway "The Fantastic Four" a 4 man elimination tournament in the RED HOT -70kg division featuring the best from the West (Gary Manogue), the South (Anthony Taylor), the North (Darryl Orr) & the East (Barry O Toole) who will battle it out for a cash prize on the night! Mar 3: Monica Markowska (current WAKO World Champ) will take on Kelly Mainwaring for the IKF World Flyweight Full Contact Title in Wales. Promoter: Mr. James Wallace.
March 11: IKF Junior Light Contact Competition in Ashbourne Community Centre, Ashbourne Co. Meath for ages 6 to 17 years old. 2 matted areas & a full size boxing ring. (16ft inside the ropes). Registration at 10am sharp. IKF Promoter: Mr. Mike Burke. 085 7249933.
April 7: IKF show in Dunboyne Castle, Ashbourne, Co. Meath. Dublins Peter Mc Cabe & Gary Giles from Galway will fight for the IKF AM FCR All Ireland Welterweight Title and Dublins Evan Walker will take on Galways Mike Bannon for the low kick version of the title in the same weight division. May 6: IKF Junior Light Contact Kickboxing Competition in the Oranmore Community Centre, Oranmore, Co. Galway for ages six to seventeen years old. Registration from 10.30am - start 12 noon sharp.
