Pete Foley

Pete Foley has been involved in Martial Arts for over 45 years and he introduced the sport of Kickboxing to Galway in March 1996.

Pete is the Chief Instructor for Black Dragon Kickboxing in Ireland and the president of IKF Ireland (International Kickboxing Federation Ireland).

He is currently an 8th Dan Black Belt in Kickboxing, a 5th Dan Black Belt in Freestyle Karate and he has also trained extensively in Judo, Kung Fu, Thai Boxing & Oriental Weaponry etc as well as having dabbled in other Martial Arts such as Tai Chi & Jiu Jitsu.

Pete is a  certified Personnel Trainer, Gym Instructor, IABA Boxing Coach, Kettlebells Instructor, First Aider, Child Protection and he also fully Garda Vetted.

Pete is a former All Ireland & International Karate & Kickboxing Champion and he won out the British Amatuer Thai Boxing Championships in Manchester in 1986.

He also works with the department of education in secondary schools all over Galway City & County teaching the basics in Boxing,Kickboxing & Self Defence & lectures in Street Awareness & personal safety with Transition Year Students.
